Press the button and the display will animate before presenting the time. The first LED indicates 10 hours. The next 9 LEDs indicate hours 1-9. The next 5 LEDs indicate groups of 10 minutes 10-50. The final 9 LEDs indicate single minutes 1-9. A combination of these LEDs indicate the time.
Press the button again while the time is displayed to see the date. This can be read in the same way as the time. The day is indicated by the 7 lights in the row of LEDs at the top of the watch.
The LEDs stay active for 8 seconds giving you plenty of time to read the display. Reading the time and date becomes second nature once you are familiar with the system.
